This 249 unit mixed use residential project will be located at 500 Broadway in Santa Monica California near the recently completed Expo Metro Line.
Working in conjunction with Design Architect Koning Eizenberg Architects, LARGE architecture is serving as the Architect of Record for this project.
500 Broadway incorporates an innovative structural system called ConX. Composed of prefabricated steel posts and beam members that are bolted together, it is possible to construct up to 5,000 sf of structure in one day.
Although the ConX system requires fire proofing, the structural system's short assembly time significantly reduces the cost of construction when compared to traditional steel and timber systems.
Tenants will enjoy the convenience of a 50,000 sf retail podium which is expected to house a grocery market and café.
Tenants will also enjoy a roof deck amenity with unobstructed views of the Pacific Ocean. The anticipated completion date is Summer 2020.
